|Old White House Situation Room|
But first, for those who may not be aware of what the White House Situation Room is and what it is meant to be used for, here is a description courtesy of Wikipedia:
'The White House Situation Room is a 5,525-square-foot conference room and intelligence management center in the basement of the West Wing of the White House. It is run by the National Security Council staff for the use of the President of the United States and his advisors (including the National Security Advisor, the Deputy for Homeland Security and the White House Chief of Staff) to monitor and deal with crises at home and abroad and to conduct secure communications with outside (often overseas) persons.
The Situation Room is equipped with secure, advanced communications equipment for the President to maintain command and control of U.S. forces around the world.'
For Barack Obama and his administration, however, given the laser focus that they have on national security matters this room was not going to be enough for their purposes.
The new Situation Room first became available last week which, unfortunately for the President, wasn't there for him to use during the killing of four Americans in Benghazi (for that the White House sleeping quarters had to suffice).
But, for the current evacuation of the US Embassy in Baghdad, Iraq, it is.
Exclusive photo of Barack Obama in his Situation Room doing what he does best!
The concerned look on his face has nothing to do with a lost ball I am sure, but has everything to do with our American citizens in Iraq and the plethora of other international crises that are blowing up around us!
Crises that in one way or another can be directly tied to his incompetence or worse.
