As an American I have one regret as we prepare to recognize the incredible sacrifices made and accomplishments achieved by the greatest generation 70-years ago during the D-Day invasion of France at Normandy!
As the free world readies to recognize the members of the greatest generation on the 70th Anniversary of the D-Day invasion at Normandy, a great number of whom made the ultimate sacrifice during the mission to drive the final stake into the heart of the Third Reich, my simple regret is that the representative the US will have at the ceremony is going to be President Barack Obama.
Why? Any number of reasons including Benghazi but most recently typified by his actions resulting in the release of Taliban terrorist commanders from Gitmo.
It strikes me as extremely inappropriate that mere days standing between Bergdahl's parents in the Rose Garden and mere days after releasing five terrorists in order to secure the release of a man who increasingly appears to be a deserter and possibly a traitor, that Obama stand among the heroes who gave their lives so that we can live free!
These fallen heroes and those heroes who are still alive deserve much better! But that's just my opinion!
