Barack Obama: Foreign policy eunuch!

Editor's Note August 28, 2013: As time drags on and the noise from Russia, Iran and Syria ramps up regarding the potential for retaliation over a strike against the Syrian government, it makes even more clear the devastating effect that the Obama administration foreign policy strategy of empty rhetoric, false and mobile red lines, indecision and feet dragging has had on US national security and the security of our allies!

Should this sign hang over the Obama White House?

This is a President who, due to his failed policies and empty rhetoric, has painted the United States with his rancid brush of perceived weakness, ineptness and impotence!

Editor's Note: As you read this article the President is spending his time and our money on a politically driven bus tour promoting college for all instead of working in the White House addressing some of the more important world crises mentioned below!

(CNN) -- America's foreign policy has gone into a tailspin. Almost every major initiative from the Obama administration has run into sharp, sometimes embarrassing, reverses. The U.S. looks weak and confused on the global stage.

What is the significance of this statement from CNN you ask? It's the very fact that CNN is making it of course!

This statement is incredible when looked at in the context of it being made by a staunch mainstream media supporter, failure and scandal ignorer and truth manipulator for this President when concerning anything that could be considered a failure of the Obama administration.

The fact that this media outlet has finally told the American people some semblance of the truth does not bode well for Mr. Obama!

And there are plenty of truths out there to be sure!

The Obama Way and My Father's Way!

When it comes to problems or crises, regardless of the magnitude, my father would say that there were two ways to make a decision concerning how you would deal with them: either by omission or commission.

Omission is of course to allow decisions to come to you by doing nothing or to simply ignore the situation as if it doesn't exist.

Commission, by actions or statements, is a hands-on method of choosing the direction taken in the activity of problem solving.

Barack Obama, utilizing both, has effectively directed American foreign policy and national security in much the same way that the captain of the Titanic directed his ship on that fateful night in 1912.

In other words, very poorly.

A short list of Obama foreign policy and national security responses, political eunuch-style!

Christians being slaughtered across the Middle East: Through the lack of any statements even resembling condemnation on the subject Barack Obama has indicated that the United States has no issue with the fact that in Egypt, Syria and elsewhere across the Middle East it is open season on Christians.

Compare this to the statements he made to appease Muslims over 'the insensitivity' of the video that the White House used as the reason behind the rage that sparked the Benghazi embassy attack.

Put another way, for the Obama administration freedom of speech in the making of a video is bad but religion-based murder is a non-issue.

Egypt aid: The White House has so far failed to term the military overthrow of the Morsi government a coup which leaves in limbo the status of US aid to that country.

Looking back at the course of events there:

  • The pro-Obama stance to the Arab Spring with the insistence that Mubarack step down was,
  • Followed by his administrations welcoming acceptance of the Muslim Brotherhood-led elected Morsi government which was,
  • Followed by an unclear response to the military coup deposing Morsi leading to a confusing response concerning US military aid to Egypt that has,
  • Made it clear to the other players around the Middle East that Barack Obama is a non-leader on issues that concern the national security of the US and its allies.

The result of this lack of leadership is that other countries in the Middle East, some purported to be friends of the United States, have pledged to replace our aid with money of their own in amounts far exceeding our $1.5 billion.

Edward Snowden offered asylum in Russia: With great clarity Vladimir Putin has shown what he thinks of the leadership of Barack Obama. No amount of rhetoric from the US President was going to convince the Russian leader that he had anything to fear by not returning the US traitor back to us. So he didn't.

And, rather than going to the planned Summit in Russia to hash things out mano a mano, President Obama instead canceled the meeting once again showing the world weakness when it comes to the defense of our country's interests around the world.

Benghazi murders and cover-up: Rather than acting in the way a Commander-in-Chief could reasonably be expected to act, Barack Obama and his administration hung our Ambassador and staff out to dry with the result of four Americans being brutally murdered and our sovereign territory invaded during a terrorist attack that was termed something else by the players in this administration.

Due in part to an upcoming election there was a cover-up of the truth that has lasted until today with the perpetrators still not having been held accountable.

Such inaction and apparent lying on the part of the Obama administration sends the wrong message to our military, to other governments and more importantly to the terrorists who would have been given the idea that they can act with impunity.

Syria chemical weapons red line: The President drew a clear and unambiguous red-line in the sand concerning the ramifications should the Syrian government use of chemical weapons. They have and we have done nothing with horrific pictures of children who have been gassed available for all to see.

His comments and rhetoric today while on his bus tour in upstate New York were as anemic as they were predictable:

'The president said the US was still seeking conclusive evidence that chemical weapons were used this week. But he said such actions were “very troublesome” and are going to “require America’s attention.

“Such actions would be troubling and would be detrimental to “some core national interests that the United States has, both in terms of us making sure that weapons of mass destruction are not proliferating, as well as needing to protect our allies, our bases in the region,” the president said Friday in an interview with CNN..." Fort Hood workplace violence: What message does it send terrorists both domestic and abroad and to our military when an administration is unable, or unwilling, to acknowledge as terrorism the murder committed by Nadal Hasan at Fort Hood and instead has the temerity to term it workplace violence.

al-Qaeda is on the run: Remember this from the President concerning his position that the global war on terror was basically over?

'President Obama said Thursday that al Qaeda is nearly defeated and the war on terrorism has changed since he took office, and that demands a broad rethink that includes scaling down drone attacks, transferring detainees from Guantanamo Bay and revisiting the 2001 congressional resolution that set the country on perpetual war footing.'

Once again the message being sent was completely wrong and sends both our friends and enemies alike the absolute wrong signal!

Iran nuclear weapons program: Obama says little about this impending global crisis of a nuclear Iran possessing and funneling weapons of mass destruction to terrorists and in fact actually does even less!

Conclusion

In closing this quote from the Middle East Media Research Institute seems to lock it all in

“[We must conclude that] this is not a skilled statesman and politician with creative solutions, but an ordinary academic who repeats meaningless slogans and does not possess the political sensitivity to give each factor the weight it deserves, to take bold [action] when necessary and to refrain [from action] when necessary.

One last thought: The President isn't very proficient at leading domestically either!

'Murdered white guy in Oklahoma: Obama? Jesse? Al? Crickets!'
