Top 10 Al Sharptonisms!

July 20 Hampton's Wounded Warrior Project 30-mile ride!

You may be asking yourself what it is that gives Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson the credibility and moral superiority making legions of followers take everything they say regarding the George Zimmerman verdict as the gospel?

That is a very good question!

To be fair, however, many of those who are listening to their race baiting and divisive speech are too young to know about some the things they have said and done in the past that no one on the Right would ever be forgiven for.

Let alone thrive after.

For example who can forget some of these Jesse Jacksonisms courtesy of Wikipedia:

Jackson was criticized in the early 1980s for refusing to repudiate Louis Farrakhan, for his support of a Palestinian state, and for remarks made to a reporter where he referred to New York City as "Hymietown". (Hymie is a pejorative term for Jews.) Jackson ultimately acknowledged he had used the term, and said he had been wrong; however, he also said that he had considered the conversation with the reporter to be off-the-record at the time he made the remarks. Jackson apologized during a speech before national Jewish leaders in a Manchester, New Hampshire synagogue, but an enduring split between Jackson and many in the Jewish community continued at least through the 1990s.

Jackson also made other remarks evidencing a negative attitude toward Jews including saying that Richard Nixon was less attentive to poverty in the U.S. because "four out of five [of Nixon's top advisers] are German Jews and their priorities are on Europe and Asia"; that he was "sick and tired of hearing about the Holocaust"; and that there are "very few Jewish reporters that have the capacity to be objective about Arab affairs".

Then there's this list of only ten out of many more than 10 transgressions of Al Sharpton's.

Lets call them the Top 10 Al Sharptonisms from an article in 2010!

Tawana Brawley

In 1987, Tawana Brawley, 15, was found smeared with feces in a garbage bag, her clothing torn, with slurs written on her body. Brawley said she had been raped by six white men, including police officers. Sharpton took her side and made a huge stink about it. The only problem? She made it all up. To this day, Sharpton says he disagrees with the grand jury.

Bernhard Goetz

In 1984, Bernhard Goetz shot four African-American men who tried to rob him on the subway. Sharpton said Goetz’s actions were racist, though a federal investigation concluded the shooting was due to an attempted robbery, not race. Perhaps those who commit black-on-black crime are racist against blacks, too.

Freddie’s Fashion Mart

In 1995, one of the people who protested alongside Sharpton took matters further and murdered the man who they were protesting against: A Jewish business owner who was told by his African American landlords to evict his African American subtenant. Once again, Sharpton makes a stink out of nothing, and a man gets killed.

Defends Rapists

In 2007, Sharpton defended violent rapists, saying they were treated unfairly because they were black. These were people who made a Haitian woman perform oral sex on her own son.

Crown Heights Riot

During the Crown Heights Riot, Sharpton inflamed tensions by saying, “If the Jews want to get it on, tell them to pin their yarmulkes back and come over to my house.” He also called Jews “diamond merchants.”

More Brilliant Quotes

Sharpton was quoted as saying to an audience at Kean College in 1994 that, “White folks was [sic] in caves while we was building empires…. We taught philosophy and astrology and mathematics before Socrates and them Greek homos ever got around to it.”

Didn’t Pay Taxes

After failing to pay his taxes, Sharpton said the investigations into his finances reflected a political agenda by United States.

Reclaim the Dream Commemorative March

Exactly 47 years after a legitimate Civil Rights activist makes a life-changing speech to benefit the nation, Sharpton leads the way for a “Reclaim the Dream” speech (while the equally idiotic Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin hold a march nearby). Aug. 28, 2010 should be known as ‘Idiots Marching Day.’

Comments on Mormons

In 2007, Sharpton said about Mitt Romney: “As for the one Mormon running for office, those who really believe in God will defeat him anyways, so don’t worry about that; that’s a temporary situation.”

Forget your opinion on Mormons, when you’re running for president, you don’t make statements like that.

New York Post Protest

A chimpanzee was in the news for killing a woman. The chimpanzee was killed. At the same time, the stimulus bill was in the news. This cartoon ran in the N.Y. Post:

Take a wild guess what Sharpton turned this into.
Perhaps men in glass houses should not be throwing stones although if that were the case they would lose their relevance altogether!
