Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano and Health Commissioner Dr. Lawrence Eisenstein invite residents to attend a free Health & Wellness Fair on Sunday, August 18th from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Mitchel Field Athletic Complex, located at One Charles Lindbergh Boulevard in Uniondale. The co-sponsors of this free event include North Shore-LIJ Health System and Winthrop-University Hospital.
The fair will feature an array of health and wellness resources, workshops, medical screenings, exercise classes, amusement and carnival style games, a mobile interactive gaming truck, interactive photo booths and back-to-school supplies.
“I am honored to partner and participate with North Shore-LIJ Health System and Winthrop-University Hospital to bring such important health and wellness services to the residents of Nassau County,” said County Executive Mangano. “This fair is another example of partnering together to bring outstanding services to the community.”
This collaborative effort, involving many county agencies and related health and human service providers, seeks to promote access to health care, encourage preventative health screenings and provide residents with information to help them live a healthier lifestyle.
