Fast and Furious finally grabs the attention of Americans!

Predictably though, it is the wrong Fast and Furious that's doing it!

It's oh so typical that whenever something or someone needs to demand the attention or concern of the rank and file American, if it's not some smut story about some sleazy celebrity or a reality television show there will typically be no one home to pay attention to it.

Add to that the fact that the media will tend to ignore and leave unreported anything detrimental to the Obama administration and you have the classic news vacuum daily double.

While the pregnancy of Kim Kardashian or the Jodi Arias murder trial may potentially take the front page of newspapers and the lead story on network 'news,' IRSgate or the deaths of four Americans in Benghazi will be buried if mentioned at all.

And how can there be a relative lack of interest in the fact that the top cop of the United States may have potentially perjured himself in testimony before Congress?

Poll ten men and women on the street in Anytown, USA and I would wager to say that nine know little to nothing about the tangled and confused storyline of Eric Holder concerning the monitoring of reporters by the Department of Justice.

Priorities are after all priorities.

The bottom-line?

What we have is what we should unfortunately expect when you couple the benign treatment of any Obama administration scandal by the mainstream media with what seems to be the genuine disinterest of so many Americans for anything truly relevant.

A case in point? Fast and Furious versus 'Fast and Furious 6'!
