A novel concept Mr. President: Leading from strength! (Video)

Why is Barack Obama's national security strategy so incredibly wrong? Because as far as I can tell there really is no strategy!

Remember back in 2008 when Barack Obama uttered the following idle threat wrapped in useless rhetoric?

“If they bring a knife to the fight, we bring a gun.”

Unfortunately, the reality is that at the time it wasn't an idle threat or rhetoric because it had nothing to do with national security and everything to do with waging a Chicago-style war on the Republican Party!

National security, Obama-style!

When it comes to actually protecting the nation Barack Obama either does not understand, or does understand and chooses to ignore it anyway, that the enemy that we are fighting in the global war on terror does not respond to negotiation, diplomacy, sanctions or idle threats wrapped in worthless rhetoric!

All of which are the mainstay strategies that define his administration!

For the most recent example just look at the massacre in Benghazi both before and after.

How many times have we heard from the State Department or from the President himself that we "condemn these actions," we "condemn these random acts of violence" or that the U.S. "will not rest until the perpetrators of these senseless acts have been brought to justice"?

The answer is too many times to count and yet rarely does anything happen! The administration merely runs out the clock until something else comes up to move the spotlight (if that's what you call MSM coverage), somewhere else.

Instead we throw in our lot with the U.N. Security Council and our veto ready partners the Russians and the Chinese!

The reality is that when these politicians speak the only thing that our enemies hear, besides their own laughter, is the voice of the teacher from Charlie Brown!

Conclusion? While the country sat transfixed on Monday watching the very expensive pomp and circumstance taking place in Washington, perhaps the President should dedicate his second term, not to the game of politics, but to actually doing what he was put in office to do!
