Guest Post: "Socialism is as Socialism Does!" or "The Barack Obama Story"

Guest Post from Dr. Robert Owens documenting the transformation of the U.S. being attempted by Barack Obama from the worlds greatest capitalist society to a socialist!

If he did all of these in one-term, do we really want to give him an opportunity to finish the job?

Socialism is as Socialism Does by Dr. Robert Owens

Ronald Reagan taught us, “How do you tell a communist? Well, it's someone who reads Marx and Lenin. And how do you tell an anti-Communist? It's someone who understands Marx and Lenin.”

Barack Obama’s mentor as a young man was communist party member Frank Marshall Davis. As a community organizer he was a follower and promoter of the communist fellow-traveler Saul Alinsky’s methods and goals. As a professional in Hyde Park he associated with socialist radicals such as Bill Ayers. As an up-and-coming Chicago Politician he attended the church of Reverend Jeremiah Wright, an outspoken proponent of the socialist Black Liberation Theology. As president he appointed communist Van Jones to be one of his many Czars. Mr. Obama says he is not a socialist. However, simple logic tells us if it looks like a duck and walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck you can be relatively certain it’s a duck.

Mr. Obama has told us that he seeks to be a transformational president like his idol FDR. He was bold enough to tell us just days before the election in 2008 that he would fundamentally transform America. In just one term he has accomplished much along the way to changing us from what we have always been into what the Progressives have always wanted us to be.

How has Barak Obama transformed us? Into what is he transforming us? A look at his impressive *list of firsts as president of these United States points in the direction he is herding us:

First President to have a Social Security number from a state where he has never lived
First President to preside over a cut to the credit-rating of the United States
First President to violate the War Powers Act
First President to be held in contempt of court for illegally obstructing oil drilling in the Gulf of Mexico
First President to require that all Americans purchase a product from a third party as a condition of citizenship
First President to spend a trillion dollars on shovel-ready jobs and then joke that shovel ready wasn’t quite as shovel ready as he thought
First President to abrogate bankruptcy law to turn over control of companies to his union supporters
First President to by-pass Congress and implement laws such as the Dream Act and Cap-n-Trade through executive fiat
First President to demand a company hand-over $20 billion to one of his political appointees
First President to tell a CEO of a major corporation (GM) to resign
First President to terminate America's ability to put a man in space
First President to cancel the National Day of Prayer and to say that America is no longer a Christian nation
First President to have a law signed by an auto-pen without being present
First President to send the families of fallen service members a form letter signed with an auto-pen
First President to arbitrarily declare an existing law unconstitutional and refuse to enforce it (DOMA)
First President to threaten insurance companies if they publicly spoke-out on the reasons for their rate increases
First President to tell a major manufacturing company in which state it is allowed to locate a factory
First President to file lawsuits against the states he swore an oath to protect (AZ, WI, OH, IN)
First President to actively try to bankrupt an American industry (coal)
First President to fire an inspector general of Ameri-Corps for catching one of his friends in a corruption case
First President to appoint 45 czars to his office
First President to golf more than 100 times separate times in his first three and a half years in office
First President to hide his medical, educational and travel records
First President to win a Nobel Peace Prize for doing nothing to earn it
First President to go on multiple global “apology tours” and concurrent “insult our friends” tours
First President to go on 16 lavish vacations, including date nights and Wednesday evening White House parties for his friends paid for by the taxpayer
First President to have 22 personal servants (taxpayer funded) for his wife
First President to keep a dog trainer on retainer for $102,000 a year at taxpayer expense
First President to publicly read from the Quran & tell us the early morning call of the Azan (Islamic call to worship) is the most beautiful sound on earth
First President to recite the Muslim call to prayer in perfect Arabic
First President to tell the military men and women that they should pay for their own private insurance
First President to side with a foreign nation over one of America’s 50 states (Mexico vs. Arizona)

Mr. Obama is leading us from being the first among nations to being just another vote in the United Nations. Now there’s a level playing field for you. And now it’s time for another election, some say our most important, some say perhaps our last.

In many ways this election cycle is refreshing. For generations the Progressives have pretended to be something they are not to win elections. They have pretended to be dedicated to the American dream of personal liberty, economic freedom and the belief that America was different from other nations, that as the world’s first and most enduring modern experiment in a republic based on limited government we were exceptional. Although the policies of the Progressives have always been at odds with this assumed identity at least every election cycle they would tip their hat to the America of our fathers and portray themselves as a Thomas Jefferson or an Andrew Jackson.

Therefore, 2012 is shaping up to be the election where the Progressives cast aside their mask and run as who they are: the American version of socialism promising to tax the rich and spread the wealth around, from each according to their ability to each according to their need.

If Mr. Obama wins re-election on this platform the Progressives will finally have their chance to give Americans the same kind of cradle-to-grave utopia the happy people of Russia, China, North Korea, and Hitler’s Germany have had the fortune to endure. If Mr. Obama wins re-election espousing the true intentions of the Progressives, to change the constitution from a rock solid foundation for freedom into a living document that is a dead letter, he will succeed at his vow to fundamentally transform America.

He will fundamentally transform the dreams of our fathers for a land of liberty and opportunity into the dreams of his father who was a pro-communist social engineer and America will become just another country trying to build heaven on earth by plundering some to benefit others.

As to his utopian beliefs and aspirations President Obama has said, “I am confident we can create a Kingdom right here on Earth”

President Reagan also told us, “Socialism only works in two places: Heaven where they don't need it, and hell where they already have it.”

Do bankers and class warfare in the U.S. = immigrants and racism in Greece?

If nothing is done and the status quo across Washington remains after November then the face of the economic and social reality currently being experienced in places like Greece could become our reality!

That risk becomes much more real if Barack Obama, architect of the Unite States soon to be $16 trillion deficit, is given a second-term in the White House.

Despite the his rhetoric of pander and promise and certainly his words of blame aimed in every direction but his own, this President and his Party have only one goal and that is the retention of power at all costs.

What this means is regardless of the cost to future generations there is no amount of money they would not spend in a power grab to try and assure that elections will be won by the Left today and into the future. Instituting any spending and/or entitlement reform will never be on their agenda!

In addition to the financial piece, to try and achieve their desired ends they will have no problem using any means at their disposal including attempts to try and divide the country and pit one American against another.

This was evident on a small scale during the Occupy Wall Street protests when the President, Nancy Pelosi and others on the Left parroted the mantra designed to pit the supposed 99% have-nots against the so-called 1% haves.

In the process they attacked the idea of hard work, innovation, risk taking, the use of sweat equity, vilified success and instead spoke of shared sacrifice and economic equality.

The problem of course with all of these free spending policies is that there has never been a free lunch and at some point under this type of Democrat control the nation has the potential to financially collapse in on itself.

Causes could be many including the value of the dollar being destroyed or the U.S. Treasury no longer being able to find buyers willing to subsidize our deficit spending at affordable terms!

Under this scenario certainly the financial cost to the U.S. would be devastating but, as they are currently experiencing in Greece, so will the social costs.

In the paragraph hi-lighted in red below replacing words racism, immigrants and xenophobia with class warfare, "millionaires and billionaires" and Wall Street bankers makes it sound as if the Left in this country was trying to accomplish with OWS the same type of diversion away from failed economic policies the government in Greece is attempting to do now.

Desperation and economic crisis breeds unrest and blame. Unrest and blame typically develops into violence and allows marginal players usually confined to the fringe to assume more power and to attract more followers. Somewhat reminiscent of what happened when the Nazi's seized control in Germany, but a modern day example could also be Greece (or what happened recently at MSU).

Golden Dawn in Greece gains traction!

Remember this incredibly surprising result from the Greek elections back in May, 2012?

"The Greece election results, besides throwing the financial bailout of the country into doubt, included an alarmingly strong performance by a party that goes by the name Golden Dawn. This anti-immigration and anti-austerity political movement was projected to have taken 7% of the vote. This compares to .29% of the vote this radical party won in 2009.

Said the leader of Golden Dawn,"The day of national revolution by the Greeks has begun against those who are selling us out and looting the sweat of the Greek people." Golden Dawn members typically wear black, display an emblem similar to the Nazi insignia and are are extremely anti-immigrant. Television ads run by the group during the campaign referred to immigrants saying, "let's rid the country of this stench." (Source)

Marginal players using the economic angst of a country to gain a foothold in government! And now?

"…Whipping up racism has become a strategy for diverting an embittered nation's attention away from the government and public spending crisis. Like many flagging centre-right administrations, the New Democracy coalition is mimicking the language of far-right extremists, pandering to rather than pacifying public xenophobia. With Dendias's support, the police are rounding up immigrants, arresting and deporting thousands in raids across Athens and nearby cities – a programme named, with no apparent irony, after Zeus Xenios, the Greek God of hospitality.

Golden Dawn's surge in popularity and confidence did not come from nowhere. The party has been active for decades, but four years ago, before the first wave of austerity cuts in Greece, it was regarded as something of a joke. This summer, with its party at the table in parliament, members of Golden Dawn are setting up "Greeks only" supermarkets and distributing food parcels to the unemployed in Syntagma Square – but only for "real Greeks".

The left does not need to point to the historic correlation between imposed economic austerity and the rise of fascism: Golden Dawn is making that link explicit, celebrating it. But simple willingness to capitalise on public anger will never, in any nation, make racist thugs the voice of the people.

As with many fascist groups, Golden Dawn claims to represent the marginalised working class. Like far-right groups across Europe – including the English Defence League and the new British Freedom Party – Golden Dawn declares itself the enemy of a bankrupt democratic system, exploiting for its own ends popular anger against neoliberal economic mismanagement. However, although it professes to stand against austerity, it has no economic project: its tactics are simply violent, divisive and nauseatingly racist. And the governments of Greece and Europe seem willing to tolerate this as the social cost of an ongoing austerity consensus..." (Source)

Remember in November that if you are considering a vote for Barack Obama or a Democrat congressman or senator that while fixing the problems in the U.S. may be painful, not fixing the problem can potentially be catastrophic!

The Watcher's Council

These are the Watcher's Council nominations for the week of August 27, 2012!

For those who may be enjoying their first Watcher's Council experience, it is a group that consists of some of the top conservative bloggers from around the world.

Right about now some of you may be asking who Ellen Barkin is?

Basically just another Hollywood elite who talks the talk about being a kindler and gentler liberal while at the same time wishing death on the members of the RNC.

What happened in Nazi Germany could never happen again right?

Anti-Semitism in the rise?

And certainly not in the United States right?

We use the phrase "Never Again" to symbolize the fact that what happened in Germany and around Europe in the 1930's and 1940's would never occur again!

Well my friends anti-Semitic incidents around the world are happening with increasing frequency while many Jews and others for the most part ignore it under the belief that these are simply isolated incidents that in no way signify a larger problem.

This mirrors the ignorance is bliss mentality of the '30's and '40's and misguided belief that no man could possible be as evil as Hitler, making his goal of implementing and carrying out his "Final Solution" that much easier to do.

Ordinary citizens in Germany stood by and watched as Jews were carried away to the slaughter because they were either to afraid to make a stand or agreed with what the powers in charge were trying to do.

Military men used the rationale that they were simply following orders.

At Michigan State University a student is beaten unconscious by a group of men who asked if he was Jewish, flashed the Nazi salute and cried out "Heil Hitler"!

This while a group of 20 people stood and watched while this man had his mouth stapled shut after he had been knocked out. Not in Austria, not in Sweden and not in Berlin but in the United States.

"The Algemeiner reports on a terrible assault against a Jewish college student in East Lansing, Michigan. At a weekend party, a group of men allegedly asked Zachary Tennen whether he was Jewish before giving the Nazi salute and viciously assaulting him, according to his family:

Tennen, a sophomore at Michigan State University, was approached by the men at a party early on Sunday and asked if he was Jewish, his mother said. The men proceeded to raise their right arms in a Nazi salute and said “Heil Hitler”, before beating Tennen unconscious. According to Tennen’s mother, 20 people watched while her son had his mouth stapled by the two suspects..." (Source)

The question of whether the Democrat faithful had "Buyer's Remorse" was being asked back in 2009!

The same question is being asked again today but with so little time remaining before the presidential election in November there is an increased sense of urgency for voters to come to the correct conclusion.

Voters need to look at themselves in the mirror and determine if the country can stand another four years of Obama-style "Hope and Change"!

This is no time for complacency or voting strictly based on Party affiliation.

It's time to vote for what's best the future of our country!

A list of reasons the U.S. may be poised on the precipice of financial doom!

Is financial armageddon coming?

This is a list created by Wayne Allyn Root of reasons why the United States may be perched on a ledge leading to financial ruin making 1929 pale in comparison!

You may remember Wayne Allyn Root as Barack Obama's classmate at Columbia who wrote of skeletons in the Presidents closet that, if revealed, could likely cost him any chance at reelection!

But in his current article at Fox News Root is instead examining and presenting reasons for why he thinks that the United States is positioned for an economic decline that will make the 1929 Depression seem like a walk in the park.

His take, while certainly not unique, is not one typically heard when you turn on the business channels.

There viewers are told about U.S. economic recovery although most indicators, our own personal pockerbooks and the Federal Reserve Chairman's words and actions say otherwise.

They are told about how low inflation is with no pick-up expected, although $4.00/gallon at the pump and skyrocketing food costs are painful whether CPI is measured ex-food and energy or not.

And these viewers are told that while the EU financial crisis and the fiscal cliff in this country both pose serious potential risk at the end of the day all will be okay.

Therefore, they will tell you that if you have patience, a long-term investment horizon and you only buy companies with a strong fiscal future in this stock pickers market you will be okay in the end!

Some of the reasons presented by Wayne Allyn Root for why this rosy scenario may not be the case!

“…This time the results are going to be dramatically worse than 1929. This time we are facing The Greatest Depression ever.

Why? Because The Great Depression had NONE of the structural, economic, and social problems, nor the massive obligations we are now facing. Read the facts:

In 1929 America was not $16 trillion in debt, plus facing over $100 trillion in unfunded liabilities. That’s over $360,000 in debt per citizen.

In 1929, most of our states were not bankrupt, insolvent and dependent on federal government handouts to survive. One county (Cook County which includes Chicago, Illinois) now owes over $108 billion in debt (the biggest part of it in unfunded government employee pensions).

In 1929, we did not have 21 million government employees with bloated salaries, obscene pensions, and free health care for life. Today 1 out of 5 federal employees earn over $100,000.

Today, 77,000 federal employees earn more than the governors of their states.

Staggering numbers of federal government employees retire at a young age with $100,000 pensions for life.

Unfortunately on the state and local levels it’s even worse. There is now nearly $4 trillion in unfunded pension liabilities for state government employees.

Protected by their unions and the politicians they elect, government employees are bankrupting America. In Illinois there are retired government employees making over $425,000 per year.

No one could have imagined any of this in 1929. There is no possible way to pay these bills moving forward.

In 1929, Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid didn’t exist. The federal government had no such obligations threatening to consume the entire federal budget within a few years.

In 1929, there was no such thing as welfare, food stamps, aid to dependent children, or English as a second language programs. American’s didn’t consider it the responsibility of government to pay for breakfast and lunch for school students -- let alone for illegal immigrants at school.

Who could have imagined back in 1929 that one seventh of America's population would be on food stamps…and the federal government would ADVERTISE to encourage even more Americans to sign up for food stamps and welfare...”

That is how Barack Obama has served as President and that is exactly how his campaign has chosen to run for reelection.

No look back on what he has done or not done, accomplished or not accomplished or any description for how he plans to do better in the future. No, his method is to divide the nation, tell half-truths and spread fear.

Because my friends when it comes to politics that is the Chicago-style way!

With parents who have been "deeply involved with the Muslim Brotherhood" (Video 32 seconds in) and with Huma Abedin previously on the Executive Board of the Muslim Brotherhood affiliated Muslim Student's Association (MSA) at Georgetown, how exactly did she become the personal assistant to U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton?

As a member of the MSA she would likely have been required to take the Oath of Allegiance that can be heard at 3 minutes 50 seconds into the video below. Among other things the Pledge says that "Jihad is my spirit" and "Paradise is my goal".

Only in the Obama administration could anyone with the background described here be in a position to have security clearance where what they know could potentially do harm to the nation! Was any vetting of Huma Abedin actually done and if it was don't the American people have a right to see it?

Did Abedin admit that she was a member of the Muslim Student Association (MSA) (see below)? The MSA is a front group for the Muslim Brotherhood. It resulted from Saudi-backed efforts to establish Islamic organizations internationally in the 1960s, for the purpose of spreading its Wahhabist ideology across the globe..." (Source)

We can easily apply an old saying to this relationship between Abedin and the Secretary of State by saying it's akin to putting the fox in charge of the chicken coop.

150 nations expected at 16th Non-Aligned Summit in Tehran, Iran! How's that for isolation?

This Summit is testament to the farce that is Obama administration foreign policy as Iran welcomes 150 nations to the 16th Non-Aligned Summit in Tehran!

High on the list of attendees is #35 below, Egypt, home of the "Arab Spring," the recent recipient of billions in military aid from the Obama administration and a new "democratic" nation that has a newly installed government headed by the Muslim Brotherhood.

Caution: A word of warning to the voting age public in the United States is that if Barack Obama gets four more years in the White House based only on this ONE example of weakening the country and emboldening our enemies, who knows what will be left when he is finished!

Therefore, while the conversation for Election2012 centers on Obama excuses for the weak economy, a lack of jobs and Democrat Party fear mongering over much needed entitlement reform, remember that there is a big world out there that the Obama administration has ignored for the past four years.

A world that poses as much risk to the United States as anything domestic!

The 16th Non-Aligned Summit!

Western diplomats have sought to downplay the importance of the summit and the start of Iran's three-year presidency of NAM, a body set up in 1961 to counter big power domination of international relations.

But 80 countries are participating in the summit at the level of minister or higher, Foreign Ministry spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast said, with 50 sending their heads of government.

And the expected attendance of big players including UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon and Egypt's new president, Mohammad Morsi - the first Egyptian leader to visit Iran since the 1979 Islamic revolution - will give the meeting diplomatic heft. (Source)

With these attendees expected plus some others, the term "Iranian isolation" is nothing but another Obama campaign slogan not based in any reality and with no meat on the bone!
