I don't follow Hollywood but with the Scientology angle on the marriage between Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise coupled with the South Park episode featuring Tom Cruise, well....
What captions about the Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise divorce would you put under these GIFS?
In other words these are the Democrats who did what they are paid by their constituents to do and voted according to the facts in the Eric Holder contempt of Congress action and not for what is simply the politically expedient!
These Representatives who voted in favor of contempt charges against the AG may pay the ultimate price (which in the political parlance of Washington means losing the support of party leadership) but come the morning they can look at themselves in the mirror without having to turn away in disgust!
It's a rarity, but for now hat's off to these Democrats!
As an American it's an embarrassment having to say that this group of people walking and holding hands are Congressmen and Congresswomen who are being led by the House of Representatives chief embarrassment, Speaker Nancy Pelosi.
They could easily be first graders skipping down the path to the bus because school's over and it's time for summer recess.
The only difference is that after doing nothing in their day jobs in Congress they actually are going on summer vacation, only not in schools busses but limousines and private jets and not to day camp but to their second and sometimes third homes for vacations that so many of the people on "Main Street" can't afford.
And yet, they claim to represent you when in reality the only people that they represent are themselves!
These individuals were hired by their constituents back home to go to Washington and do the peoples business.
Peoples business doesn't mean playing politics in an effort to try and cover-up the actions of a man, Attorney General Eric "Fast and Furious" Holder, and his boss President "executive privilege" Obama!
Peoples business doesn't mean doing the politically expedient in order to try and ensure plum committee appointments or the support of party leaders come campaigning for reelection time.
Peoples business DOES mean what the 17 Democrats who crossed the aisle to vote yay on the contempt action against Eric Holder, ramifications from party leadership be damned!
Now on to the
Watchers Council voting results!
The Watchers
Council nominations for the week of June 25th were presented,
the votes were cast and counted, and the winner will now been announced!
For those who may be enjoying their first Watchers Council experience,
it is a group that consists of some of the top conservative bloggers from
around the world.
Each week members select and submit an article of their own
creation in addition to one article from a non-council blog they find to be
particularly topical and important.
While you may not always agree with what you read, that
alone may make the experience that much more valuable!
Once the submissions have been received at an undisclosed
location hidden somewhere on the Left Coast of the United States, the Watchers
Council members then individually vote for their favorites.
Those votes are protected and held by outside auditing firm
Arthur Andersen until such time as they are counted and a winner named for the
Grand Prize.
This Grand Prize consists of the appreciation of ones peers.
In the end though, we all win because of the range of
information and important analysis received on the critical issues of the day.
In a nutshell, the Watchers Council is the ultimate
conservative blog aggregator!
So without further ado the winner(s) of the Watcher's
Council for the week of June 25th is (are)...?
These are supposedly Congressmen and Congresswomen who instead act like kindergartners which is actually an insult to kindergartners everywhere!
Further, each and every one of these 65 "public servants" who left the chamber without voting on the contempt charges should be removed from office in November.
Yet again and in what can only be described as one of the more disgusting displays of partisan politics, the Obama administration and administration puppets are turning well documented abuses surrounding Operation Fast and Furious into a question of race.
And if for some reason you still need any additional proof of the relevance of the contempt action?
In a Congress where every vote taken runs straight down party lines, at least 17 Democrats have crossed the aisle and voted for the contempt charges to be brought.
This, in and of itself and forgetting about the actual facts that exist, speaks volumes and volumes!
Once again, instead of trying to deflect the attention by this ridiculous walkout, why don't these career politicians instead go down the list of charges and refute them one by one.
TweetObamacare upheld although the details need to be deciphered and the devil buried in the details seems to include new taxes!

Is this video a commentary on the state of our society, the state of moral values in our society or is it fine and simply smart business practice?
Put another way, am I just getting old or is this video about trade shows, shirts and sneakers that's unlike any of the old ads for Chuck Taylors and Adidas Superstars I ever saw simply over the top?
Watch the video and ask yourself whether this promotion for an event has gone too far or is this type of promotion simply a sign of the times?
Does it indicate society on the rise or in steep decline?
Is the song anything that you would encourage or even allow your children to listen to?
Finally, understand the demographic of the consumers that this show in Houston called H-Town Sneaker Summit is trying to attract.
Most likely kids too young to watch this video along with parents who are incapable of forbidding it!
A questionable decision in Cologne, Germany surrounding circumcision!
First the very loose translation of the article title, "Keine Beschneidung für euch Juden," is "No circumcision for you Jews."
While circumcision is a basic ritual of the Jewish faith performed on newborn male children, due to a botched procedure in Cologne, Germany on a Muslim child, the ban on this procedure has been put into place.
For Germany this move has serious and obvious PR implications, but for the Jews and Muslims whose religions mandate the practice, it is much more.
My thought is that because of the uproar likely to come from the Muslim community that this decision will soon be overturned.
However, had the ban solely impacted Jews, I am not so sure that a reversal would have been in the cards!
