Game show question: Doing an Al Jolson impersonation! What if a Republican had done it? (Video)

Did you hear about the new Tom Hanks flick?

After appearing as narrator of the 17-minute Obama science fiction movie, "My Accomplishments", America can now "enjoy" a rerelease of a Tom Hanks 2004 charity auction video featuring an investment banker in Blackface!

You read that correctly America. The man who immortalized roles in such big-screen blockbusters as Forrest Gump, Saving Private Ryan and Apollo 13 was featured in a film of another sort from a 2004 charity auction raising money for a private school in Pacific Palisades, California.

The investment banker was reportedly James Montgomery and he seemed to be doing his best to recreate one of the roles played by Al Jolson.

While this clip has not become front-page news (nor should it have), imagine for a second if a Republican movie star had been present and participated instead of Democrat and liberal Hollywood darling Tom Hanks. Would the media have picked it up and would that actor have been vilified in the press?

You make the call?

Is there something wrong with this skit or is the only thing wrong that it was just such a poor attempt at comedy? Was Tom Hanks wrong to go along, although not really participating, or should he have shut it down when it started? Is it overt racism or just politically incorrect?
