This is what's considered a spectator sport in Iran (Video)

Tonight in the U.S. we will be watching LSU-Alabama in the BCS National Championship game!

In Iran they don't play American football, but judging from this video that doesn't mean that the people don't enjoy spectator sports.

The video is of three men who were caught committing an armed-robbery in August, paying for that crime swiftly and in definitive fashion with their lives while throngs of people in Kershmanshah's Liberty Square excitedly look on.

Since the beginning of 2012 at least 33 people in Iran have been executed.

Judging by the voting results in Egypt over the weekend, is this what the people of that country have to look forward to as an Islamist government will likely be installed there?

  1. We need public executions in America. Maybe the death penalty would be more effective.

  2. I don't know about public executions but we definitely need a more universal death penalty!
