In Norway Alan Dershowitz persona non grata and Jews non expectata

Alan Dershowitz finds Norway anti-Israel and anti-Jewish, along with much of Europe!

No one is naive enough to think that an undercurrent of anti-semitism disguised as anti-Israel sentiment doesn't flow throughout Europe today. A recent report titled "Intolerance, Prejudice and Discrimination" confirms that fact. Some of the findings include:

Question: Israel is conducting a war of extermination against the Palestinians?

"... Asked to respond to the statement that “Israel is conducting a war of extermination against the Palestinians,” 47.7 percent of the study’s participants in Germany expressed agreement – the highest number in Western Europe.

Question: Can you understand why people do not like Jews?

The statement “Considering Israel’s policy, I can understand why people do not like Jews” met with 35.6% affirmation in Germany, while 35.9% of British respondents were in agreement. In the Netherlands, 41.1% favored the assertion, as did 55.2% in Poland, 45.6% in Hungary and 48.8% in Portugal. France declined to participate.

Question: Jews try to take advantage of being victims in the Nazi era?

Almost half the Germans questioned responded in the affirmative; the country’s 48.9% result was the highest among the Western European countries. The Netherlands provided the lowest percentage, with 17.2% affirming that Jews were trying to exploit the Nazi era. The number for Poland was 72.2%, and Hungary reached 68.1%. France reached 32.3%, England 21.8%, Portugal 52.2% and Italy 40.2%..."

Alan Dershowitz "not welcome in Norway" to discuss Israel-Palestinian conflict

Of course the famous Harvard attorney was welcome to discuss the O.J. Simpson case, but it was made crystal clear by the academic elites that he was not welcome to discuss international law as it applied to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

This from an opinion piece written by Professor Dershowitz that appeared in the Wall Street Journal:

"... Despite the faculties' refusals to invite me, I delivered three lectures to packed auditoriums at the invitation of student groups. I received sustained applause both before and after the talks.

It was then that I realized why all this happened. At all of the Norwegian universities, there have been efforts to enact academic and cultural boycotts of Jewish Israeli academics. This boycott is directed against Israel's "occupation" of Palestinian land—but the occupation that the boycott supporters have in mind is not of the West Bank but rather of Israel itself. Here is the first line of their petition: "Since 1948 the state of Israel has occupied Palestinian land . . ."

The administrations of the universities have refused to go along with this form of collective punishment of all Israeli academics, so the formal demand for a boycott failed. But in practice it exists. Jewish pro-Israel speakers are subject to a de facto boycott.

The first boycott signatory was Trond Adresen, a professor at Trondheim. About Jews, he has written: "There is something immensely self-satisfied and self-centered at the tribal mentality that is so prevalent among Jews. . . . [They] as a whole, are characterized by this mentality. . . . It is no less legitimate to say such a thing about Jews in 2008-2009 than it was to make the same point about the Germans around 1938."

This line of talk—directed at Jews, not Israel—is apparently acceptable among many in Norway's elite. Consider former Prime Minister Kare Willock's reaction to President Obama's selection of Rahm Emanuel as his first chief of staff: "It does not look too promising, he has chosen a chief of staff who is Jewish." Mr. Willock didn't know anything about Mr. Emanuel's views—he based his criticism on the sole fact that Mr. Emanuel is a Jew. Perhaps unsurprisingly, fewer than 1,000 Jews live in Norway today..."

The bottom line, "Never Again"

The more things change the more that they stay the same. The phrase "Never Again" is a way of saying that if atrocities against a group are being perpetrated that others will not stand idly by as it occurs. The Holocaust happened a very short time ago but the lessons learned have apparently faded or been forgotten. If the world allows it to happen, then history has a way of repeating itself.

Old news: Country's as cultural melting pots! The new: Adapt or...

That concept of melting pot seems to be no more! Is the Islamization of America occurring as we speak?

It is happening all around Europe and it may be happening in the United States as well! Whatever happened to the concept of a melting pot?

You know the idea. People from one country would, for a variety of reasons, move to another country to find a "better" way of life? They strive to work hard and adapt. They learn about the culture and, while not losing their personal heritage and traditions, become a part of the framework of their newly adopted home.

This idea seems to be no more!

The cultural assimilation of newly settled citizens of the Muslim faith in much of Europe has been deemed a failure. This is in conjunction with these welcoming countries fighting to preserve their own existing culture that has been in existence for many hundreds of years.

So what exactly is assimilation? It is defined as people of different backgrounds coming to see themselves as part of a larger national family. In other words, while those from another country or culture do not have to completely abandon their traditions, they do need to adapt to those of their adopted country.

As it was defined in the website Creeping Sharia, the opposite is what seems to be occurring. To the outside observer it appears more common for the country or a specific region of a country receiving Muslim immigrants to be the ones bending over backwards to adapt to the immigrants way of life than the other way around.

Beyond the fear of potential retribution for not acquiescing, what are the possible reasons this would occur? When immigrants from Europe hit the shores of America in the early 20th century it was up to them to adapt and not the other way around. No matter what the ACLU tells you should be happening today!

Three roads to Islamization

"... One road to Islamization is to remove non-Islamic traditions and symbols. This is to avoid offending Muslims or expose Muslims to proselytizing by other faiths. It also aims to reduce competition from the country’s original religion and culture in order to improve the possibilities for further Islamization. An example is the Red Cross’ refusal to decorate for Christmas in their stores, or when banks no longer hands out piggy banks to their customers’ kids (because pigs are unclean in Islam) — in both situations in order not to offend Muslims and lose Muslim customers.

Another way Islamization is accomplished is by making Islamic traditions and rules part of non-Islamic societies. Examples are reconstruction of public sports facilities to cater for Muslims’ inhibited views on nudity and contact between the sexes, or the imposition of leave on Islamic holidays.

A third way Islamization achieved happens when certain areas or neighborhoods acquire such a high a proportion of Muslims that the country’s indigenous culture and people are pushed out. One example is when non-Islamic authorities such as police and fire departments meet with disrespect and sometimes even threats and violence, while imams, patrolling police-style Muslim fathers’ groups, homemade Sharia Courts, and Islamic mediation meetings are free to exercise their power. Another example is when Jews can not wear yarmulke or girls can not wear miniskirts in Muslim-dominated areas, because they risk being attacked..." (Creeping Sharia)

George Soros: The Democratic Party, the presidency and the reach for global control
















The following was allegedly researched and written by Steve Kroft of 60 Minutes. It tells a tale of a presidency and a political party bought and paid for by George Soros, aka "Spooky Dude".

I received the story from a friend in an email and then found it on the website Rumormillnews.com. While the authenticity has not been verified, it is a story that does have a believable ring to it and is very much worth the read.

Glen Beck (sic) has been developing material to show all the ties that Soros has through the nation and world along with his goals. This article is written by Steve Kroft from 60 Minutes. It begins to piece together the rise of Obama and his behavior in leading the nation along with many members of Congress (in particular the Democrats, such as the election of Pelosi recently to the minority leader position in Congress):

This is almost too scary to contemplate.

If you have wondered where Obama came from and just how he quickly moved from obscurity to President or why the media is "selective" in what we are told, here is the man who most probably put him there and is responsible. He controls President Obama's every move. Think this is absurd? Invest a few minutes and read this. You won't regret it.

Who is Obama? Obama is a puppet and here is the explanation of the man or demon who pulls his strings. It's not by chance that Obama can manipulate the world. I don't think he knows how to tie his shoe laces. After reading this and Obama's reluctance to accept help on the oil spill you wonder if the spill is part of the plan to destroy the US? "In history, nothing happens by accident. If it happened, you can bet someone planned it." [ Franklin Delano Roosevelt ]

Who Is George Soros? He brought the market down in 2 days. Here is what Steve Kroft's (CBS) research has turned up. It's a bit of a read, and it took 4 months to put it together. "The main obstacle to a stable and just world order is the United States ." [George Soros]

George Soros is an evil man. He's anti-God, anti-family, anti-American and anti-good. What we have in Soros, is a multi-billionaire atheist, with skewed moral values, and a sociopath's lack of conscience. He considers himself to be an elitist world-class philosopher, despises the American way, and loves to do social engineering and change cultures.

Gy├Ârgy Schwartz, better known to the world as George Soros, was born August 12, 1930 in Hungary . Soros' father, Tivadar, was a fervent practitioner of the Esperanto language invented in 1887, and designed to be the first global language, free of any national identity. The Schwartz's, who were non-practicing Jews, changed the family name to Soros in order to facilitate assimilation into the gentile population as the Nazis spread into Hungary during the 1930s.

In his article, Muravchik describes how Soros has admitted to having carried some rather "potent messianic fantasies with me from childhood, which I felt I had to control, otherwise they might get me in trouble." Be that as it may, after WWII, Soros attended the London School of Economics where he fell under the thrall of fellow atheist and Hungarian, Karl Popper, one of his professors. Popper was a mentor to Soros until Popper's death in 1994. Two of Popper's most influential teachings concerned "the open society," and fallibilism.

Fallibilism is the philosophical doctrine that all claims of knowledge could, in principle, be mistaken. (Then again, I could be wrong about that.) The "open society" basically refers to a "test and evaluate" approach to social engineering. Regarding "open society," Roy Childs writes, "Since the Second World War, most of the Western democracies have followed Popper's advice about piecemeal social engineering and democratic social reform, and it has gotten them into a grand mess."

In 1956 Soros moved to New York City where he worked on Wall Street and started amassing his fortune. He specialized in hedge funds and currency speculation. Soros is absolutely ruthless, amoral, and clever in his business dealings, and he quickly made his fortune. By the 1980's he was well on his way to becoming the global powerhouse that he is today.

In an article Kyle-Anne Shiver wrote for The American Thinker she says, "Soros made his first billion in 1992 by shorting the British pound with leveraged billions in financial bets and became known as the man who broke the Bank of England. He broke it on the backs of hard-working British citizens who immediately saw their homes severely devalued and their life savings cut drastically, almost overnight."

In 1994 Soros crowed in The New Republic, that "the former Soviet Empire is now called the Soros Empire." The Russia-gate scandal in 1999, which almost collapsed the Russian economy, was labeled by Rep. Jim Leach, then head of the House Banking Committee, to be "one of the greatest social robberies in human history. "The "Soros Empire" indeed. In 1997 Soros almost destroyed the economies of Thailand and Malaysia . At the time, Malaysia 's Prime Minister, Mahathir Mohammad, called Soros "a villain, and a moron." Thai activist Weng Tojirakarn said, "We regard George Soros as a kind of Dracula. He sucks the blood from the people."

The website Greek National Pride reports, "[Soros] was part of the full court press that dismantled Yugoslavia and caused trouble in Georgia, Ukraine and Myanmar [ Burma ]. Calling himself a philanthropist, Soros' role is to tighten the ideological stranglehold of globalization and the New World Order while promoting his own financial gain. He is without conscience; a capitalist who functions with absolute amorality."

France has upheld an earlier conviction against Soros for felony insider trading. Soros was fined 2.9 million dollars. Recently, his native Hungary fined Soros 2.2 million dollars for "illegal market manipulation." Elizabeth Crum writes that the Hungarian economy has been in a state of transition as the country seeks to become more financially stable and westernized. [Soros'] deliberately driving down the share price of its largest bank put Hungary 's economy into a wicked tailspin, one from which it is still trying to recover.

My point here is that Soros is a planetary parasite. His grasp, greed, and gluttony have a global reach. But what about America? Soros told Australia's national newspaper The Australian, " America , as the centre of the globalized financial markets, was sucking up the savings of the world. This is now over. The game is out," he said, adding that the time has come for "a very serious adjustment" in American's consumption habits. He implied that he was the one with the power to bring this about."

Soros: "World financial crisis was "stimulating" and "in a way, the culmination of my life's work."

Obama has recently promised 10 billion of our tax dollars to Brazil, in order to give them a leg-up in expanding their offshore oil fields. Obama's largesse towards Brazil came shortly after his political financial backer, George Soros, invested heavily in Brazilian oil (Petrobras).

Tait Trussel writes, "The Petrobras loan may be a windfall for Soros and Brazil, but it is a bad deal for the U. S. The American Petroleum Institute estimates that oil exploration in the U S could create 160,000 new, well-paying jobs, as well as $1.7 trillion in revenues to federal, state, and local governments, all while fostering greater energy security and independence."

A blog you might want to keep an eye on is SorosWatch.com. Their mission: "This blog is dedicated to all who have suffered due to the ruthless financial pursuits of George Soros. Your stories are many and varied, but the theme is the same: the destructive power of greed without conscience. We pledge to tirelessly watch Soros wherever he goes and to print the truth in the hope that he will one day be made to stop preying upon the world's poor, that justice will be served."

Back to America. Soros has been actively working to destroy America from the inside out for some years now. People have been warning us. Two years ago, news sources reported that "Soros [is] an extremist who wants open borders, a one-world foreign policy, legalized drugs, euthanasia, and on and on. This is off-the-chart dangerous." In 1997 Rachel Ehrenfeld wrote, "Soros uses his philanthropy to change or more accurately, deconstruct the moral values and attitudes of the Western world, and particularly of the American people. His "open society" is not about freedom; it is about license. His vision rejects the notion of ordered liberty, in favor of a PROGRESSIVE ideology of rights and entitlements."

Perhaps the most important of these "whistle blowers" are David Horowitz and Richard Poe. Their book The Shadow Party outlines in detail how Soros hijacked the Democratic Party, and now owns it lock, stock, and barrel. Soros has been packing the Democratic Party with radicals, and ousting moderate Democrats for years. The Shadow Party became the Shadow Government, which recently became the Obama Administration.

DiscoverThe Networks.org (another good source) writes, "By his [Soros'] own admission, he helped engineer coups in Slovakia , Croatia , Georgia , and Yugoslavia . When Soros targets a country for "regime change," he begins by creating a shadow government, a fully formed government-in-exile, ready to assume power when the opportunity arises. The Shadow Party he has built in America greatly resembles those he has created in other countries prior to instigating a coup."

The November 2008 edition of the German magazine Der Spiegel, in which Soros gives his opinion on what the next POTUS (President of the U. S.) should do after taking office. "I think we need a large stimulus package." Soros thought that around 600 billion dollars would be about right. Soros also said that, "I think Obama presents us a great opportunity to finally deal with global warming and energy dependence. The U. S. needs a cap-and-trade system with auctioning of licenses for emissions rights."

Although Soros doesn't (yet) own the Republican Party, like he does the Democrats, make no mistake, his tentacles are spread throughout the Republican Party as well.

Soros is a partner in the Carlyle Group where he has invested more than 100 million dollars. According to an article by The Baltimore Chronicle's Alice Cherbonnier, the Carlye Group is run by "a veritable who's who of former Republican leaders," from CIA man Frank Carlucci, to CIA head [and ex-President] George Bush, Sr.

In late 2006, Soros bought about 2 million shares of Halliburton, Dick Cheney's old stomping grounds. When the Democrats and Republicans held their conventions in 2000, Soros held Shadow Party conventions in the same cities, at the same time. In 2008, Soros donated $5,000,000,000 ( that's five billion ) to the Democratic National Committee, DNC, to insure Obama's win and wins for many other Alinsky-trained Radical Rules, Anti-American Socialists. George has been contributing a billion dollars plus to the DNC since Clinton came on the scene.

Soros has dirtied both sides of the aisle, trust me. And if that weren't bad enough, he has long held connections with the CIA. And I mustn't forget to mention Soros' involvement with the MSM (Main Stream Media), the entertainment industry (e.g., he owns 2.6 million shares of Time Warner), and the various political advertising organizations to which he funnels millions. In short, George Soros controls or influences most of the MSM. Little wonder they ignore the TEA PARTY, Soros's NEMESIS. As Matthew Vadum writes, "The liberal billionaire-turned-philanthropist has been buying up media properties for years in order to drive home his message to the American public that they are too materialistic, too wasteful, too selfish, and too stupid to decide for themselves how to run their own lives."

Richard Poe writes, "Soros' private philanthropy, totaling nearly $5 billion, continues undermining America 's traditional Western values. His giving has provided funding of abortion rights, atheism, drug legalization, sex education, euthanasia, feminism, gun control, globalization, mass immigration, gay marriage and other radical experiments in social engineering."

Some of the many NGOs (Non-Government Organizations) that Soros funds with his billions are: MoveOn.org, the Apollo Alliance (which wrote the Stimulus bill), Media Matters for America , the Tides Foundation, the ACLU, ACORN, PDIA (Project on Death In America ), La Raza, and many more. Poe continues, "Through his global web of Open Society Institutes and Open Society Foundations, Soros has spent 25 years recruiting, training, indoctrinating and installing a network of loyal operatives in 50 countries, placing them in positions of influence and power in media, government, finance and academia."

Without Soros' money, would Saul Alinsky's Chicago machine still be rolling? Would SEIU, ACORN, and La Raza still be pursuing their nefarious activities? Would Big Money and lobbyists still be corrupting government? Would our college campuses still be retirement homes for 1960s radicals?

America stands at the brink of an abyss, and that fact is directly attributable to Soros. Soros has vigorously, cleverly, and insidiously planned the ruination of America and his puppet, Barack Obama is leading the way.

The words of Patrick Henry are apropos: "Is life so dear, or peace so sweet, as to be purchased at the price of chains and slavery? Forbid it, almighty God! I know not what course others may take, but as for me, give me liberty, or give me death!"

Breaking news: Facebook see the error of its ways!

Facebook deletes the page calling for a violent "Third Palestinian Intifada"

This is a follow-up to the article "Social media and the Third Palestinian Intifada" that appeared here this morning. Sometime after that Facebook pulled the Like page for the reasons given below.

Could emails like mine and others to Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg have played any role? Doubtful but if people are unwilling to get involved Like pages like the "Third Palestinian Intifada" will simply exist unchallenged spreading a message of violence and hate!

“ … We continue to believe that people on Facebook should be able to express their opinions, and we don’t typically take down content that speaks out against countries, religions, political entities, or ideas," Andrew Noyes, a spokesman for Facebook, told FoxNews.com. He said the social network would continue to take down pages that issue "direct calls for violence or expressions of hate.”

Noyes also explained that the site, removed for its hateful and violent vitriol, once pushed a Ghandi-esque message of peaceful protest.

"The 'Third Palestinian Intifada' began as a call for peaceful protest, even though it used a term that has been associated with violence in the past," Noyes explained. "After the publicity of the page, more comments deteriorated to direct calls for violence. Eventually, the administrators also participated in these calls.

"After administrators of the page received repeated warnings about posts that violated our policies, we removed the page…" (Fox)

Social media and the Third Palestinian Intifada

Facebook Fan Page calling for the Third Palestinian Intifada

It is on YouTube and Twitter as well and has been for some time. This is not a new story but one that needs to keep being told.

Over 300,000 "fans" of a Third Palestinian Intifada so far. A call to violence and war that Facebook refuses to remove. They have however removed other pages with far less hateful and violent motives and intent.

Middle East unrest and the end of the world (Video)


The Iranian government sees the current unrest in the Middle East as a sign that the Twelfth Imam, Mahdi or Islamic messiah is about to appear!

And that is not necessarily being viewed as a bad thing! So while we in the west believe that war is a necessary evil to be avoided at all costs, we are fighting against an opponent who doesn't, and who seems to welcome the prophecy that to them signals the end of time.

When the value and belief systems of ones enemy is the polar opposite of your own, that enemy becomes much more formidable. If a deterrent for one is a successful outcome for the other, then the concept of knowing and understanding your enemy becomes extremely problematical!

This serves to make strategic planning very, very difficult!

Other 'Prophetic' Signs

The ongoing upheavals in other Middle Eastern countries like Yemen and Egypt--including the rise of the Muslim Brotherhood -- are also analyzed as prophetic signs that the Mahdi is near -- so is the current poor health of the king of Saudi Arabia, an Iranian rival.

"Isn't the presence of Abdullah, his illness, and his uncertain condition, great news for those anxious for the coming?" asks the narrator.

Iran's supreme leader, Ayatollah Khameini, and Hassan Nasrallah, leader of Iran's terrorist proxy Hezbollah, are hailed as pivotal end times players, whose rise was predicted in Islamic scriptures.

The same goes for Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadenijad, who the video says will conquer Jerusalem prior to the Mahdi's coming.

"I think it's a very grave development," Mideast expert Joel Rosenberg, author of The Twelfth Imam, told CBN News, "because it gives you a window into the thinking of the Iranian leadership: that they believe the time for war with Israel may be even sooner than others had imagined..."

Obama Libya speech protector

What to wear for the televised Obama speech on the reasoning behind, and the status of, the kinetic military action in Libya?

What does one wear to a speech where the content will most likely be taken directly from a field of grazing cows and horses?

I suppose that hip waders would most likely do. The problem is that I have been listening to President Obama, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Secretary of Defense Robert Gates tripping over each other trying to explain our involvement in Libya, so I think that I am going to opt for a pair of these just to be safe!

Is religion heading towards extinction?

In a study sponsored by the American Physical Society that was the finding!

Three researchers, Daniel Abrams, Haley Yaple and Richard Wiener studied ten countries (not including the United States) asking census questions that included religious affiliation.

Going back 100 years their findings indicate that from a mathematical perspective the trends are moving towards the answer non-affiliated with any religion and away from affiliated to any specific religion. In the Netherlands the number identifying themselves as non-affiliated is 40% while in the Czech Republic the number soars to 60%.

(Personal aside: although none of the countries included in the study were predominantly Muslim, I will make the assumption that the trend in those would be the exact opposite to that found in the study above! In addition to affiliation, the religious passion and fervor in the Muslim faith would on average likely be much greater than for those who claim to feel a religious affiliation to other religions.)

In a 2008 American Religious Identification Survey (ARIS) found that Americans claiming no religion rose from 8.2% in 1990 to 14.2% in 2001 to 15% in 2008.

In an online survey commissioned by the British Humanist Association almost two thirds of the people in the U.K. who were questioned said that they were not religious.

A study released in 2010, the British Social Attitudes Survey, found the following:

In Britain, those who profess no-religion have risen from 31% to 43% between 1983 and 2008. In 2009, this was found to have further risen to 51%.

Conversely, in 1983 66% identified as Christian, in 2008 the number was 50%. In 2009, this further declined to 43%.

In 2008 37% of the UK population are sceptical, 35% have definite or doubtful.

In 2009 only 17% of the British population attend religious services at least monthly, and only 11% attend at least weekly.

Those self-described as members of the Church of England consist of 20% of the population in 2009 (40% in 1983). In 2008, it was found that 49% of this group never attend services; only 8% of people who identify with the CofE attend church weekly.

62% of people in Britain never attend a religious service.

42% of all those questioned are against any form of faith school

So is a decline in religious attachment at all related to a breakdown in societal values?

In reality (no pun intended) one only has to watch T.V., listen to the music of today or go on social media websites like Facebook (last week a smut list surfaced on Facebook in the N.Y. and Ct. area) to understand that much of society is in a serious state of moral decline.

But is it a move away from religious belief that's a major contributing factor to this moral decline? Consider that if little or no regard exists for the religious teachings as basic as the list of "Thou shalt nots," then the decline in religious belief is definitely a part of the cause.

Spend 20 minutes watching television during primetime to get an idea of the state of the social decline that we currently find ourselves in. The one saving grace is that Two and a Half Men is off the air although plenty of damage can still be done watching it in reruns. This is a quote from Charlie Sheen who until recently was the highest paid actor on T.V.:

"Guys, it's right there in the thing, duh! We work for the Pope, we murder people. We're Vatican assassins. How complicated can it be? What they're not ready for is guys like you and I and Nails and all the other gnarly gnarlingtons in my life, that we are high priests, Vatican assassin warlocks. Boom. Print that, people. See where that goes."

Charlie Sheen for President?

Now this from Public Policy Polling. While without question Barack Obama should be out of the White House at the end of this term (how he got there in the first place continues to boggle the mind) and I don't think that Sarah Palin should be the next (p)resident, can these numbers be right?

"... Democrats would support Sheen over Palin in 2012 by 44 percent to 24 percent. Meanwhile, Republicans would back Sheen over President Obama 37 percent to 28 percent..." (Yahoo.com)

Consequences of religious decline in a society

Society beware as these are some of the consequences of a move away from organized religion:

First, with the loss of religion comes the loss of a solid moral compass.

Second, with the loss of a moral compass comes a decline in moral standards.

Third, with the decline in moral standards will come a willingness to shirk responsibility for our actions and their consequences.

Fourth, with the shirking of responsibility comes the demand for someone else to take care of me.

Stock market bubble: Are we gonna party like it's 1999?


Is the stock market once again in bubble formation?

Bubble formation? That would imply dizzying heights and froth. It would suggest frenzied price action and stocks with little revenue (if any) and no earnings trading at huge multiples of sales or multiples of some other contrived metrics.

If we were in bubble formation there would be stock analysts who on a daily basis would be falling over each other to reiterate or initiate coverage on stocks with buy recommendations and newly raised price targets. Numbers that could not actually be justified but that investors and traders were more than happy to believe in. Analysts, some of whom were the rock stars of the day.

I was a trader back in the 1996-2000 NASDQ market when the daily range of the stocks like Yahoo and Ebay and others that no longer even exist could be 40 points or more. Then the next day they would do it all over again. It was a tech bubble that had a very unhappy ending.

It was a market that had bailed traders out from badly timed entry points and where buying dips had never disappointed. It then, however, suddenly turned into a demon where buying dips and waiting to get bailed out could become a career ending strategy.

For anyone who follows the stock market today or who has money invested there in 401K's or IRA's, the general feeling right now would be that while the markets have traded well off the lows hit during the height of the financial crisis, things still aren't all that great.

That's why it may come as some surprise that for companies prepared to go public the technology sector may be back in bubble formation, only this time with new names. Names like Facebook and Twitter have replaced Microsoft and Cisco. These companies possess valuations that appear to be in nosebleed territory, driven by huge amounts of investable cash and speculation. Deja vu all over again.

Round and round it goes, and where it stops...

"If you lie you will most likely get caught!" (A story)

Particularly if two people are sharing the lie!

If you always tell the truth then you never have to remember what you said! (origin unknown)

We hear time and time again of a politician saying one thing two years ago and the complete opposite today. Sometimes it could even be last week to to this week. The fact is, however, that in politics these lies never really seems to matter. Somehow it is explained away or, if being done by a Democrat, completely ignored by the mainstream media.

The exception will be an egregious lie about military service that wasn't or some heroics that turn out to be grossly exaggerated (as claimed in the John Kerry Swift Boat saga).

If you had to name the industry groups that would be most associated with lying the order might be politicians, lawyers and then Hollywood P.R. people (Charlie Sheen, Lindsay Lohan come to mind).

The following story is a perfect example of the fact that for the majority of cases, lying doesn't pay!

Story of two college students, one professor and one exam

This Exam Is FINAL

Two guys were taking Chemistry at the University of Mississippi. They did pretty well on all of the quizzes and the midterms and labs, such that going into the final they had a solid "A". These two friends were so confident going into the final that the weekend before finals week (even though the Chemistry final was on Monday), they decided to go up to the University of Tennessee and party with some friends.

They had a great time, however, with hangovers and everything, they overslept all day Sunday and didn't make it back to Mississippi until early Monday morning. Rather than taking the final then, they found their professor after the final to explain to him why they missed the final.

They told him that they went up to the University of Tennessee for the weekend, and had planned to come back in time to study, but that they had a flat tire on the way back, and didn't have a spare, and couldn't get help for a long time, so they were late in getting back to campus. The professor thought this over and told them they could make up the final on the following day. The two guys were elated and relieved. They studied that night and went in the next day for the final.

The professor placed them in separate rooms, and handed each of them a test booklet and told them to begin. They looked at the first problem, which was worth 5 points. It was something simple about Molarity & Solutions.

"Cool ," they thought. "This is going to be easy." They did that problem and then turned the page.

They were not prepared, however, for what they saw on this page. It said: (95 Points). Which tire?
