Joe should have been watching out for the children!

Great coach be damned, his first responsibility was to watch out for the children!

If the details as they have become known are accurate then was there any choice for Penn State but to fire Joe Paterno immediately?

In 2002 Mike McQueary, then graduate assistant, told Joe Paterno that he saw defensive coordinator Jerry Sandusky molesting a child in the locker room showers.

Joe Paterno simply kicked the allegation up the line.

He should have been watching out for the children!

At the time Joe Paterno may have met his legal obligation, but what about his moral obligation?

He should have been watching out for the children!

The students on campus rioted over the University's firing of Joe Pa, not letting him coach the final home game on Saturday.

He should have been watching out for the children!

Mike McQueary should have been watching out for the children and yet he still has his job.

Joe Paterno's superiors should have been watching out for the children and yet they didn't, even committing perjury.

There were many others as well who knew and yet did nothing!

They should have all been watching out for the children.

If not them, then who?

There is an excellent article on this story at Whatever!
