The Obama administration scandal log: Fast and Furious, Solyndra and LightSquared!

In case you are keeping score or maybe haven't heard, these are few of the scandals currently swirling around the Obama administration!

For the sake of the country, let's not repeat the lack of full disclosure of Barack Obama's background and record that occurred in the last campaign.

Had the mainstream media been doing its job of covering and reporting the news rather than the job of providing cover for then candidate Obama, he would most likely have been kept out of the White House.

The current batch of scandals are arriving just as "all the President's men" and the President are in full campaign mode. Therefore his administration will be under a full-blown red alert in addition to cover-up and damage control mode.

So many modes, so little time!

If you notice, other than campaign mode and those ancillary modes necessary to protect the campaign mode, there are few if any modes designed for the advancement of the people of the United States, its economy, homeland security, etc.

For example, some of these other modes include scapegoating mode, finger-pointing mode, it's the Bush administrations fault mode and more!

Most if not all of what this President and his staff do is self-serving and designed for Mr. Obama's benefit and not for yours and mine.

This includes farcical campaign speeches made before a Joint Session of Congress that was costumed as some kind of a jobs creation bill.

Think about that when the time comes to pull the lever on election day 2012.

So what are some of these scandals?

"Fast and Furious", Solyndra and LightSquared

"Fast and Furious": "Fast and Furious" was an operation being run by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives that involved gun-running across the US/Mexico border.

Besides putting weapons into the hands of drug cartels, "Fast and Furious" operatives lost track of weapons in an action that also resulted in the death of a Border Patrol agent.

The administration is currently in full scapegoating mode in an attempt to keep this scandal away from the front steps of the White House.

Solyndra: The Obama administration said "yes we can" provide $500 million of the taxpayers hard-earned dollars to a solar panel start-up that the Bush administration and Obama's own advisors knew was destined to fail.

Solyndra did in fact fail fairly quickly. Upon closer inspection, however, the reasons behind the giving of this loan in the first place may have very well included Chicago style cronyism and campaign donor quid pro quo.

LightSquared: This scandal involves the Obama administration reportedly pressuring General William Shelton to alter his prepared remarks on the potential impact LightSquared's proposed nationwide satellite network would have on critical GPS systems used by the military.

The administration is said to have wanted this impact on weapons such as guided missiles downplayed so that LightSquared would get the approval to proceed with its project.

Major players in the LightSquared project just happen to be large political donors to the Democrat Party. There's that quid pro quo again, only this time with the potential to impact our national security!

Because the Obama administration is also behind this type of wireless broadband system, apparently it doesn't matter what the military experts think!

As the Obama administration seems to say, never let anything get in the way of pandering to good money donors no matter the cost or potential consequences for the country!

Stay tuned as these stories, and more, are most likely far from over!

  1. Not so fast!

    A) DoJ stonewalling and slow-walking continues apace. While Lanny Breuer is the "rankest" name yet documented in the public record ["rankest=highest on the pole], Issa, et al, continues the quest to end anonymity, and secure blame to those truly responsible for F&F.

BATFE WAS THE DAY-LABOR POOL, not the "brains" behind Felony Stupid!

    B) One cannot lose track of something unless one first KEEPS track of that same something. BATFE AGENTS WERE ORDERED TO NOT FOLLOW THE GUNS! The proof of initial retail sale, and the completed trace after recovery from/at a crime scene brought jubilation to the supervisors.

Those supervisors ordered the release of both Kingsley and Avilla after they were arrested trying to cross into Mexico with their contraband. The contraband was returned to them, and they departed with the full blessings of the supervisors...now known to include Casa Blanca National Security Personnel who are "reporters", not "deciders".

F&F was not botched until it became blown and known. And the really-guilty are feeling the heat on their OWN necks!

Mr. "If you want to make an omelet, you've gotta break a few eggs." is learning that "goes around" rule the hard way.

  2. Thanks for the thoughts Fallon. If while you are making the omelette you can't stand the heat then you better get out of the kitchen!
