Labor Day weekend: Beauty (women enjoying the great outdoors) and the beast (US terrorism threat)

The impending national security threats surrounding the 10-year anniversary of 9/11/2001 along with pictures of a gratuitously sexual nature!

On an extremely serious note, with the 10-year anniversary of the worst terrorist attack ever perpetrated on American soil fast approaching on 9/11/2011, homeland security is at a premium.

Homeland security: If you see something, say something!

According to Janet Napolitano there is no "specific or credible intelligence that Al-Qaeda or its affiliates are plotting attacks."

That said, there is no date in recent memory that terrorists would like to exploit more than the 10-year anniversary of the act of war committed against the United States aboard three commercial flights, at the World Trade Center, the Pentagon and in Shanksville Pa.

The US State Department issued the following statement: “While we have not identified any specific threats from al-Qa’ida affiliates and allies to attack the United States or our interests on the 9/11 anniversary, U.S. citizens should be aware that al-Qa’ida affiliates and allies have demonstrated the intent and capability to carry out attacks against the United States and our interests around the world. In the past, terrorist organizations have on occasion planned their attacks to coincide with significant dates on the calendar."

While governmental agencies will be doing what they can to stop any attacks before they occur, it is also up to regular citizens to watch and listen for anything that just doesn't seem right and notify the authorities.
