When will politicians (Rep. Anthony Weiner) learn the cover-up or evasion is worse than the "crime" (Video)

Rep. Anthony Weiner of New York, Twitter, the underwear shot and the college co-ed

All the makings of a typical Washington scandal along with the non-denial denials and the misplaced anger.

And the new revelations that are being released as we speak seem to indicate that the political career of this man might begin quickly moving down the slippery slope towards that place where disgraced politicians end up going.

Did he or didn't he? Was he or wasn't he? Those are the questions!

Breaking from the Daily Mail:

  • Sent private messages on Twitter to porn star called 'Miss Ginger Lee'
  • Pursued attractive congress worker two days after 9/11 attacks
  • Sponsored a bill in 2008 to give 1,000 visas to foreign models
  • Refuses to answer questions on crotch shot as he hires a lawyer

Was Rep. Anthony Weiner's Twitter account hacked into with a rogue user sending a crotch-shot purported to be of Weiner to a 21 year-old college student in Seattle, Washington?

If he did it he is falling into the trap that many a famous person falls into which is the tactic of evade, deny, evade and deny.

If he did this it is between himself, his family and the co-ed. And his constituents of course who would have the right and the obligation to question the Congressman's moral fabric.

If he didn't do it and someone else did then there should be a criminal investigation.

This response is not going to get him anywhere because it is going to put the press into over-drive on the story. Said Weiner,

"Look, this was a prank that I've now been talking about for a couple of days," he said. "I'm not going to allow it to decide what I talk about for the next week or the next two weeks.

"And so, I'm not going to be giving anything more about that today. I think I've been pretty responsive." (NYP)
