12% of Americans have faith in Congress! Huh? (Gallup poll)

The 12% of American's that have confidence in Congress and the 35% with confidence in the President proves the old saying!

You can fool some of the people all of the time, you can fool all of the people some of the time, but you can't fool all of the people all of the time! (Abraham Lincoln)

The 12% of Americans in the Gallup poll obviously fall into the first category. How anyone can have any faith that anyone in Washington (with very, very, very few exceptions) is doing anything beyond what is in their immediate best interests is well beyond me.

Equally as amazing (or possible more given the size of the number) is that 2 1/2 years into the Obama presidency 35% of Americans still have confidence in that office. Go figure!

If you sell bogus real estate, the Brooklyn Bridge or get-rich quick schemes you should find these people right away because they are apparently very easy marks! And they may soon be committed and by then it will be too late.

It certainly comes as no surprise that the majority of people have confidence in the military, one of the only government endeavors that actually works and works well.
