President Obama, the tone-deaf commander-in-chief, hits the links for another round of golf

It's 53° and partly cloudy in DC and Pres Obama is at Joint Base Andrews for a round of golf this afternoon with aides.
Honestly I have run out of things to say about this. I have run out of snide sarcastic comments to throw out there. I still feel the anger and adrenaline inside when I read about another afternoon spent on the golf course, but energy wasted on things beyond my control is energy I will never get back.
The President is hitting the links on a beautiful spring afternoon in Washington while domestic and international crises boil on the front burner (the economy, jobs, federal budget, potential for government shutdown, Libya, entire Middle East, Iraq, Afghanistan, Japan, Ivory Coast slaughter, etc.).
Apparently President Obama has no clue about either propriety or about priorities.
I have always personally understood who the man behind the catchy phrases was. Thin resume, no foreign policy or national security experience and a very, very sketchy past. Now is when the buyers remorse for those who voted for him should kick in if it didn't already kick in a year or so ago (liberal, left leaning Jews in New York take particular note!).
Have you ever had less confidence in a president to get things done? I was a young man at the time (18 or so) but once again and incredibly, I would still have to rate Jimmy Carter above this guy! (H/T Weasel Zippers)

Bo plays golf in excess because he can. He WON, remember? I don't think he cares one whit about what the American people want or need. He is following his own agenda with the confidence of a person who knows he has the support of a lackey press and a preponderance of morons who will vote for him regardless of his actions.

ReplyDeleteAnd what about John Boehner? He spends a hell of a lot of time accepting national and international golf trips from lobbyists. He probably spends more time on the links then in the House of Representatives, which accounts for his eternal orange tan.

ReplyDeleteThis is idiotic. How much time did Bush spend playing golf, riding his bike or hiding at his ranch during his administration? who gives a shit if Obama is playing a round of golf rather than hunting, fishing or whatever else he might want to do for a few hours a week?
