State of the Union address: Send in the clowns (Video)

In a two-party system, the co-mingling of politicians to play some charade of civility goes beyond theater of the absurd

Will there still be the incessant up and down clapping? The looks of disdain from one party while smiles drip out of the other side? Will there be no standing and clapping at all?

This show coming out of Washington tonight is an embarrassment to Americans like myself who see the shooting in Tucson for what it was. An act of insanity by one man and not endemic of a wider problem. This game being played tonight to show faux civility is ridiculous.

The wider problem in the country will be evidenced tonight by the clowns in Washington who are masquerading as leaders. To them I say, enjoy the music!
