Obama Administration Says No Laws Were Broken In Joe Sestak Job Offer

The Cover-up Is Always Worse Than The Crime

The Obama White House has reported that they have looked into the allegations of impropriety concerning Joe Sestak. The suspicion is that Sestak had been offered an administration position by former President Bill Clinton to drop out of the race for the Senate against Arlen Specter in Pennsylvania, aka the alleged Sestak bribe.

The White House has determined that no laws had been broken and that all was well above board. The report said "allegations of improper conduct rest on factual errors and lack a basis in the law," although they acknowledge that Rahm Emanuel did ask Clinton to speak to Sestak.

This Obama White House investigation is the equivalent of President Nixon saying that a thorough investigation into the break-in at the Watergate...

The BP oil spill in Gulf of Mexico and the top kill (streaming live)

Next Step For The BP Oil Spill In The Gulf Of Mexico

The planned next step to be taken by BP in trying to plug the Gulf oil spill is a process being called a "top kill". This attempt will seek to stem the gushing flow of oil created when the Transocean Deepwater Horizon burned and sank five weeks ago. Since then more than 54,000 square miles of fishing waters have been shut by the federal government and 70 miles of the Louisiana coastlinehave been covered by the oil slick.

The "top kill" would entail dumping 50,000 barrels of dense mud into the leaking pipes, in an attempt to use a method that has been successful in the past, but that has never been tried at this depth of 5,000 feet. The final decision to move ahead with the "top kill" has not yet been made by the Chief Executive of BP, Tony Hayward. Hayward has said that if unsuccessful, this procedure could actually make the leak worse than it already is...

BP Oil Spill In The Gulf Of Mexico Still Spewing

More than just creating another commission to investigate the oil spill crisis in the Gulf of Mexico, President Obama has pledged to hold BP's feet to the fire, insisting that the firm cover all expenses involved in stopping the leak, as well as in the clean-up after.

In the meantime oil is reaching coastlines in Florida, Louisiana and the other states on the Gulf Coast, with wildlife and some of the fragile coastal ecosystems beginning to be affected. So what, beyond the typical Obama rhetoric, is the government be in a position to do to solve this disaster that BP cannot?

Mexican President Calderon slams U.S. law while Dems, Napolitano and Holder stand and applaud (video)

Calderon Lectures House On Arizona Immigration Law

To even attempt to give an analogy for the president of another country standing in the well of the House of Representatives, slamming existing federal law (although it is not enforced) in the form of new state immigration law, is not possible.

To attempt to explain the standing ovation being given to him by the Democrats, the Secretary of Homeland Security and the Attorney General of the United States is virtually impossible. To hear the distortions of the law in terms of racial profiling as asserted by Calderon, much in the same way our very own President Obama distorted it, is yet one more example of how some in this country continue to apologize for the United States while appeasing and catering to others around the world.

In a scathing rebuttal to Calderon and the Democrats, Representative Tom McClintock of California gave a fantastic speech in the same well that the Mexican President had used to belittle the sovereign right of the United States to protect the border. The Democrats that had stood to cheer the scolding of American law, did not have the same reaction to McClintock...

In the ongoing saga of the Iranians attempt to acquire a nuclear weapons capability, today marks the latest chapter in that country's ability to out maneuver the world community, led by the Obama administration, in this very dangerous game of chess.

Attorney General of the United States, Eric Holder, is the chief law enforcement officer for the country. It is a sorry state of affairs then, that he has a problem acknowledging the fact that it is radical Islam which presents a clear and present danger to the United States, it's citizens, interests and allies.

In testimony before the House Judiciary Committee, Eric Holder was asked time and again by Representative and Ranking Member Smith, if he could attribute recent terrorist attacks to the influence of those who espouse a form of radical Islam. After Comedy Central made the decision to censor a show that had featured the Prophet Muhammad, artist Molly Norris developed the idea to hold an "Everybody Draw Muhammad Day" to take place on May 20th. Unprepared for the size of the response or the pressure it would bring, Norris soon backtracked, but it was too late. Said Norris on her website:

Some Sanity In An Insane World

You might never have known from watching the mainstream media, that the last of three Navy SEALS charged with hitting a terrorist was acquitted on all charges leveled against him by that same terrorist. The first two were both acquitted as well. You will however know all about your favorite celebrity charged with another DUI, or another athlete charged with some crime, but very little on the acquittal of the three SEALS from ridiculous, frivolous charges.

If you didn't read the story on April 22nd, Breaking News: First of three Navy SEALs to go on trial in Iraq reported cleared by a military jury, this is it in a nutshell. Three of the armed services most disciplined soldiers, tasked with some of the most dangerous missions that serve to help keep America safe, were put on trial based on the statement of a terrorist who had masterminded the ambush and murder of Blackwater contractors.

These three SEALS faced prison time and the end of their careers based on a charge, leveled on Matthew McCabe by the terrorist, of punching that same terrorist. The two other SEALS, Adam Keefe and Julio Huertas, were charged with covering up the alleged incident. The terrorist? Ambushed the Blackwater contractors, dragged their bodies down the street for all to see, burned the corpses...

The Fear Index: VIX

The VIX is an indicator that measures volatility and fear in the financial markets. The greater the uncertainty in the economy, our society or the world, the higher the volatility index goes.

During "normal" times, the VIX typically moves slightly and stays in a range of between 10 and 20. During the financial and economic panic, it went as high as 80. Recently it had been as low as about 17.

With the bailout of Greece, the accompanying violent protests there, and the expectation that the same problem could impact other European countries like Spain, Portugal, Ireland (the other three members of PIGS) and even the United States, the VIX moved, yesterday alone, from a low of 24.50 to a high of 40 before settling at 32.80.

Rev. Franklin Graham, son of the Rev. Billy Graham, had his invitation to speak at the Pentagon's National Day of Prayer rescinded over the statement that he made after 9/11 calling Islam "a very evil and wicked religion."

The revocation said Graham, is "absolutely part of a pattern of hostility toward Christianity in the federal government."

As the United States continues to deal with the disaster in the Gulf, reports emanating from Russia of a media blackout ordered by the White House have been making the rounds, coupled with the deployment of SWAT teams to other rigs. Is this the same Iran that recently passed a law which could lead to women being imprisoned for enjoying some time in the sun? Is this the same Iran, the government of which has backed its clerics who stated that God would rain down fury on the planet as has been happening with earthquakes and volcanic eruptions because women are immodest?
