What Was The Thinking Of Times Square Bomber Faisal Shahzad
Contrary to the beliefs of some on the left and elsewhere that it was economic hardship and the foreclosure of his home that drove Faisal Shahzad over the edge, spurring him to attempt to detonate a bomb in New York's Times Square, the following emails written by him and obtained by CNN shows more of the real motives.
They show how Faisal Shahzad was looking to "fight back" against the currwnt condition of the Muslim world. The following was written in 2006:
"Everyone knows the current situation of Muslim World. Everyone knows how the Muslim country bows down to pressure from...

Attorney General Eric Holder, Testifying Before The House Judiciary Committee
Attorney General of the United States, Eric Holder, is the chief law enforcement officer for the country. It is a sorry state of affairs then, that he has a problem acknowledging the fact that it is radical Islam which presents a clear and present danger to the United States, it's citizens, interests and allies.

Molly Norris Responds To The Comedy Central Decision To Censor South Park
After Comedy Central made the decision to censor a show that had featured the Prophet Muhammad, artist Molly Norris developed the idea to hold an "Everybody Draw Muhammad Day" to take place on May 20th. Unprepared for the size of the response or the pressure it would bring, Norris soon backtracked, but it was too late. Said Norris on her website:
"My one-off cartoon of a fictional poster is bad as a long-term plan.
The vitriol this 'day' has brought out, of people who only want to draw obscene images,
is offensive to all of the Muslims who did nothing to endanger our rights of expression in the first place. Only Viacom and Revolution Muslim are to blame, so write to them instead!
I rue the day I went on the Dave Ross show.
My ego took me there and I let myself get side swiped.
I never wanted to lead a movement.
I make cartoons about current events and that's what I do best.
This is the only cartoon of mine that has ever left my home town -- unfortunately!"
Fear of retribution that she obviously worried could be violent in nature, undoubtedly caused her to backdown.
The Facebook group "Everybody Draw Muhammad Day"...To read the full story and watch the video, please go to the Homeland Security column at the Examiner by clicking here.

Some Sanity In An Insane World
You might never have known from watching the mainstream media, that the last of three Navy SEALS charged with hitting a terrorist was acquitted on all charges leveled against him by that same terrorist. The first two were both acquitted as well. You will however know all about your favorite celebrity charged with another DUI, or another athlete charged with some crime, but very little on the acquittal of the three SEALS from ridiculous, frivolous charges.
If you didn't read the story on April 22nd, Breaking News: First of three Navy SEALs to go on trial in Iraq reported cleared by a military jury, this is it in a nutshell. Three of the armed services most disciplined soldiers, tasked with some of the most dangerous missions that serve to help keep America safe, were put on trial based on the statement of a terrorist who had masterminded the ambush and murder of Blackwater contractors.
These three SEALS faced prison time and the end of their careers based on a charge, leveled on Matthew McCabe by the terrorist, of punching that same terrorist. The two other SEALS, Adam Keefe and Julio Huertas, were charged with covering up the alleged incident. The terrorist? Ambushed the Blackwater contractors, dragged their bodies down the street for all to see, burned the corpses...

So Went The Hopes Of The Obama Administration And The Main Stream Media
Funny how the knee- jerk reaction of both the Obama administration and the main stream media, given the fact that a car bomb was set to detonate at the "crossroads of the world", Times Square, was that Islamic terrorism was not at work.
The initial thought, given the somewhat crude nature of the device...

Shahzad Faisal Was Arrested At Kennedy Airport By Customs And Border Protection Agents
Shahzad Faisal, an American Muslim of Pakistani descent, is reported to have purchased the SUV used in the attempted attack on Times Square in New York City on Saturday. He was arrested at Kennedy Airport last night attempting to leave the country for Dubai.
The Obama administration, originally stating that this attack was not terror related, has now shifted the investigation from the NYPD to the FBI-led terrorism task force in a tacit acknowledgement that it most definitely was...

Iran Elected To Serve On The United Nations Commission On The Status Of Women
From The Fact Is Stranger Than Fiction File
This is difficult to explain, even given the fact that the United Nations is the body doing it.
Is this the same Iran that recently passed a law which could lead to women being imprisoned for enjoying some time in the sun? Is this the same Iran, the government of which has backed its clerics who stated that God would rain down fury on the planet as has been happening with earthquakes and volcanic eruptions because women are immodest? Is this the the same Iran which not only allows but requires that women either be lashed or stoned to educate them while punishing them if they appear in public in what is considered an "immodest" fashion?
It sure is!
Comments By U.S. Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, Ranking Republican on the House Foreign Affairs Committee
“The UN’s apologists must have thought that since Iran withdrew, under pressure, from the Human Rights Council race, we would not notice this latest abomination. They were wrong.
“That an Iranian regime that shoots and stones women would be ‘elected’ to a UN body supposedly dedicated to women’s rights adds a whole new disgusting twist to the ongoing saga of Iran exploiting the UN.
“It is long past time that responsible nations stand up for the Iranian people and not allow the UN to continue to be used as yet another instrument of oppression.
"The U.S. must also leverage our contributions to the UN to help produce effective, transparent, and accountable UN programs which can help women and others around the globe.”
