Political theater in the Afghan theatre of operations (Video)

Ten days before he is to give a speech to the American people on Afghanistan war strategy, President Obama makes a surprise visit to the troops

In what appears to be a public relations move ahead of his speech on Afghanistan in ten or so days, President Obama has provided himself with teleprompter material that will first portray, and then discuss what he will claim to be his hands on approach to the war and concern for the troops. But, as they say, actions speak louder than words!

The logistics and expense of making this 3-hour photo op to utter rhetoric that belie his actual actions, could have been rendered unnecessary by actual administration policy towards the war in Afghanistan. Additionally, had word of this impromptu trip been leaked (which it appears may have happened), the soldiers would have been put in even more danger than they are in every day.

Watch the short clip below and see if you can find statements made by the President that make you scratch your head in wonder about how his past words, policies and actions stack up against what he says are his goals.

See if there are any statements that just plain old make you angry.

One phrase in particular stands out for me. Let's see if it the same one for you.
