Uranium enrichment going on in North Korea, and all the administration can say is "yet another act of defiance , and if true, contradicts its own pledges and commitments."
As I sit and write I am struck by the redundancy of it all. Iran and North Korea, North Korea and Iran. I feel like I have written about this so many times before because I have.
2,000 centrifuges in North Korea that can be easily adapted to enrich uranium for weapons use in what was described to be a "stunning" show of technological sophistication.
Is North Korea providing nuclear technology to Iran and/or is Iran funding the development? Will North Korea, should it possess the ability to enrich uranium to weapons grade levels, put any limits on what organizations or countries that it would sell it to?
Of course not as this rogue regime, desperate for hard currency and led by a maniacal dictator, would sell to anyone, anywhere and at any time.
The Obama administration response will be "strong condemnation" and a call for North Korea to join with the civilized world for the good of the country and for the good of its people.
Where will it end? This is really a rhetorical question that is meant to say to the Obama administration, go off tele-prompter and take some serious steps to deal with some serious problems!
