Vice President Biden hits 100

I Always Knew A Vice President Had Nothing To Do, But This Is Ridiculous

This may not be a fair assertion as Biden's boss, President Obama, is spending just as much time as the V.P. on the campaign trail stumping for Democrat candidates running in close mid-term election races. The Democrat leadership is desperate to do what it can to maintain majority control of the House and Senate.

Perhaps though, both President and Vice President needs to look towards doing all of the peoples business rather than only the Democrats business.

I may be wrong, but it seems to me that the country is embroiled in battles on so many fronts that desperately need to be won, such as jobs creation, the economy, terrorism, the border with Mexico, Iranian nukes, national security etc.

Biden Hits 100

So what milestone did Biden hit last night in Nashua, New Hampshire? One hundred campaign stops and fundraisers for Democrat candidates across the country. Who foots the bill? The American public as advance teams need to address security, hotel rooms and meals for the team need to be paid for and Air Force Two needs to gas up and go.

In many cases Biden will have hit a city just prior to Obama in order to warm the crowd up. I am sure there is some pretext of governmental purpose that helps to justify these trips, as well as being sure that this is not the first administration to stump for candidates. But in previous cases I am not so sure that unfinished business in Washington as critical as the unfinished business being faced by the country today existed.

On the other hand, with the President an Vice President out of town, it could keep them from doing any more damage than they already have done. Classic catch-22!
