Charlie Chaplin's Movie "The Circus": Is this a time traveler?

The clip below (over 1,000,000 hits) shows behind the scene footage from a 1920's film "The Circus" by Charlie Chaplin. In the background is a woman that could be a man, speaking into a cellphone that could be a piece of wood who appears to be talking to someone somewhere, or who may be insane and is talking to his or her self.

Is this video proof that time travel exists or that we were invaded from outer space? Or is it a hoax or perhaps a '20s style version of mental illness? Hard to say, but you can either watch it from the beginning which is fairly interesting, or pick it up at around 2 minutes in, and decide for yourself.

Let us know what you think.

  1. I'm thinking that if I traveled back in time with a cell phone, it wouldn't work without the telecommunications backbone (cell towers, satellites, etc)

  2. I agree, unless the technology was being used by a space traveler. So many possibilities. Probably easier to assume mental illness and that she was talking to a piece of wood. I'd be interested to know the answers she got from the wood.
