2010 United Nations General Assembly Meetings To Begin September 23rd In New York
Anti-American Leaders Such As Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Hugo Chavez, Daniel Ortega and Evo Morales Expected
The United States will once again be in the position of having to to allow some of it's top antagonists access to the country for the U.N. General Assembly, scheduled to take place in New York City in late September. At these meetings expected guests include names such as Ahmadinejad of Iran, Chavez of Venezuela, Daniel Ortega of Nicaragua and Evo Morales of Bolivia.
It seems like only yesterday, although it was 1986, that Daniel Ortega spoke the following to the U.N. General Assembly when he said "President Reagan should remember, Rambo exists only in the movies!"
The United States is placed in the uncomfortable position, as host country of the U.N., of providing a forum for anyone with an anti-American agenda to speak on our soil. While calls have been made in the past to deny entry to certain leaders, these restrictions have not occurred. As a result, quotes like the ones below are possible in a forum that was created to foster world harmony.
Some Of The Quotes By Mahmoud Ahmadinejad:
February 2008 in Iran on the topic of Israel: "The world powers established this filthy bacteria, the Zionist regime, which is lashing out at the nations in the region like a wild beast."
On homosexuals in Iran in 2007: "In Iran we don't have homosexuals like in your country... In Iran we do not have this phenomenon. I don't know who's told you that we have this."
On 9/11 in 2006 and U.S. involvement: "Could it be planned and executed without coordination, with intelligence and security services - or their extensive infiltration? Of course this is just an educated guess. Why have the various aspects of the attacks been kept secret? Why are we not told who botched their responsibilities? And, why aren't those responsible and the guilty parties identified and put on trial?"
What do he, and some of his allies, have in store this time?
