Here we have a bona fide terrorist who was trained by bona fide terrorists. Is it possible that this man possessed some information that may have been of use to the United States and international intelligence agencies? You bet there was! If there was ever a place for water boarding or any other technique necessary to get every piece of potentially critical information out of this terrorist, this would certainly seem to fit.
Instead, like the five to be tried in New York, we allow this man the "right to remain silent." How ludicrous is that? He has the right to remain silent only after interrogation has drained him, but certainly not before. In a list of errors to many to count, the decision to try this man criminally is yet one more example of the enigma of the Obama administration.
Let us consider practically any other country in the world under the same circumstances. I can't think of any, even France, that would let a man get away with an attempted attack like this before dredging out every piece of information still inscribed on his mind.
The sound that you hear is the sound of our enemies laughing so hard that it hurts. Laughing at a society so weak that it does not do whatever it can to prevent tragedy. That it is more concerned with playing by the rules that the enemy does not play by. This is not a recipe for success. This is a recipe for disaster.
