The media in the Middle East could not be more exited about the upcoming speech that President Obama is scheduled to give in Cairo on June 4th. Could the excitement be predicated on the belief that he will come and spread his chagrin and disdain for the way that the United States has treated this part of the world under that pariah administration of George Bush? Could it be based on the anticipation of yet another apology for the way that the worlds superpower has acted in the recent past?
You better believe it!
On inauguration day President Obama said: "My job to the Muslim world is to communicate that the Americans are not your enemy," Obama said. "We sometimes make mistakes. We have not been perfect." Does anyone in the Middle East ever apologize for it's lack of perfection?
Only the United States seems to be to blame for any problems that exist in the world.
Will the speech discuss human rights, woman's rights, the rights of Israel, the right to battle against terrorism or the genocide in Darfur, or will it focus mainly on how the United States will try and do better in the future or will work more closely with Israeli-Palestinian conflict resolution. This resolution in President Obama's mind will no doubt involve the bend but not break process for Israel, and very few considerations that need to be made by the Palestinians.
It will be interesting to hear, and just as interesting to see how it is received by all of the different constituencies. Sphere: Related Content

Never sold my body pal. What good will come out of it other than a negative slant on Israel and a weaker stance by the Un ited States.
I will keep an open mind though.
